CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach
Peter Hong is a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. Peter has been training with Cascade CrossFit since February of 2012 and is in charge of their Sunday Strength and Technique class where he utilizes his eye for technique in Olympic Weightlifting to help members learn the world of Olympic Weightlifting and how it can benefit their CrossFit WODS.
Peter discovered CrossFit in October of 2010 after he realized he had become a bit out of shape due to an inactive work life. As a former skinny, active kid, it was a sign to get back to being in shape (that and how honest mothers can be). He found Cascade CrossFit, where he began his new CrossFit life, discovering a new way of being fit and healthy and has never looked back. He found that CrossFit wasn’t just a physical change but a mental change where you had friends to support you every step of the way. Working hard at getting in shape, he found himself enthralled in the CrossFit community and how it helped him reshape his life. After some time he was convinced by other members to become a Trainer/Coach due to his uncanny ability to explain even the most difficult movement with ease. So began his CrossFit Trainer life, and ever since then he has been helping people realize their true potential to become stronger both mentally and physically.
After being part of an amazing CrossFit community, he found himself wanting to develop a community of his own. Over the summer of 2012 Peter heard from a gym member that Chris was looking to start a new CrossFit community in the Seattle area as he was moving back to Washington. And so it began, CrossFit Paramount, a place where Coaches Pete and Chris decided to bring community, fitness of the highest quality to all ages and abilities to change lives and to inspire individuals to be strong both mentally and physically.
